Groundbreaking at Oman Pavilion, EXPO 2020
Connecting Minds, Creating the Future – keeping the theme of Expo 2020 in mind, the construction of the Oman Pavilion kicked off with Archcorp as the Architect on Record for the eye-catching structure, which derived inspiration from the frankincense tree. Archcorp marked this event on the 10th of October 2019, and was represented by our Managing Partner, Ms. Farhana Imran. The foundation stone was laid on-site in the presence of Oman’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Ali Bin Masoud Al Sunaidi, and other prominent Omani officials.
The Oman Pavilion is a testament to the rich cultural heritage and forward-thinking vision of Oman, symbolizing the nation's historical significance and its aspirations for the future. The design, inspired by the frankincense tree, integrates organic forms and sustainable materials, creating an immersive experience for visitors. Archcorp's role in bringing this vision to life underscores our expertise in managing complex, high-profile projects and our dedication to innovative architectural solutions.
